Sarah Fries grew up in ‘raisin country’ Kingsburg, California. After graduating from high school she lived in Sweden as a Rotary Exchange Student; she still enjoys pretending to speak Swedish. Sarah received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in Aquaculture from the University of California at Davis. Following undergraduate Sarah spent many hours on the Sacramento Delta working for the California Department of Fish and Game. Sarah has been heard to say that Delta Smelt smell like cucumber. She returned to Davis to attend the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1999. Sarah has practiced veterinary medicine in California, Colorado, and Minnesota. She lives in Wabasha with her husband, three children, critters “Bacon and Eggs and Waffles”, and the “Bat Mobile”.
In her spare time Sarah attends a mind-boggling number of children’s sporting activities, tries to find vegetables in her weed garden, and attempts to ride her bike.
