RICK JANKA, DVM
Dr. Rick Janka grew up in southeastern Wisconsin. He attended college at the University of Minnesota for his undergraduate and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees. After vet school, Rick and his wife moved to Goodhue County, so they have been in the area for 30 years. Rick has served on the township planning commission, church council, active in 4-H, and currently a supporter and board member of the Humane Society of Goodhue County.
Rick and his wife have three adult children who keep their lives fulfilled. He enjoys the outdoors, wildlife and his farm animals. Rick owns and practices veterinary medicine full time at All Creatures Veterinary Clinic. Our goal at All Creatures Veterinary Clinic is to provide quality, affordable and compassionate care. Dr. Rick Janka and the staff want to provide the same quality of care that they would want for their own pets.
MEGAN HEISE, DVM
Dr. Megan lives on her families farm in rural Minnesota. They have lots of animals around the farm including cows, turkeys, piglets, barn kitties, dogs and even some goats.
She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019 and she started working here June 2022.
Dr. Megan enjoys fishing and hunting – really anything outdoors. Additionally, she likes to enjoy pizza and bingo nights with her family. She is the current surgeon here and see office visits as well.
Courtney, Practice Manager/VET TECH
Courtney Schladweiler grew up in the small town of Maiden Rock Wisconsin. She has always loved animals and grew up with dogs, cats, and even a rat!
Shortly after graduating, she worked as a veterinary technician in Eden Prairie.
She lives with her husband Luke and their kids Weston and Norah along with their two dogs: Kalia (a shetland sheepdog) and Kimber (a german shepherd). In their spare time, they enjoy deer hunting, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, jet skiing, and visiting their family’s cabin in Stone Lake Wisconsin.
JANET, VET TECH
Janet went to the University of Minnesota- Waseca and earned an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology in 1992. Janet has been working with Dr. Rick Janka since then. She had one dog, three cats and 11 crazy chickens. She is living in the area and is happily married with two children.

Cassandra, VET TECH
Cassandra has 5 cats at home; Shotgun Sherbet, Big Papa, Petunia, Lynx and Fifi and one elderly Pomeranian named Sawyer. She loves hanging with her kids Zandyr and Quynn. She enjoys the cool weather and Fall is her favorite time of year. Cassandra has worked with animals for 8 years!
Elaine M., Assistant
Elaine grew up on a hobby farm and ever since has loved working with animals. She has worked with animals for over 10 years. She went to school for grooming and wanted to expand her knowledge and work in the veterinary field. Elaine lives here in town with her husband Dan and sons Maddox and George. She has 3 cats Fanny, Packer, and Sven. Elaine also loves football and the Green Bay Packers.
Amanda, Assistant
Amanda grew up in town and currently lives here with her boyfriend and daughter and their furry friends; Dexter and Doakes (handsome cats) and Millie (beautiful Tri Collie) and Archie (handsome Tri Corgi). In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family ice fishing and hiking. Amanda has worked with animals for a little over a year but they have always been an important part of her life.
Kara L., Assistant
Kara graduated from UW – River Falls with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and she is currently going to Veterinary School at the University of Minnesota! She has grown up with animals her whole life. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends. Her hobbies include baking/cooking, painting and binge watching Netflix. My family and I have a plethora of dogs and barn cats but we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Kayla K., Assistant
Kayla grew up on a dairy farm and now has her own assortment of animals including; 2 horses (Aztec and Waylon), 2 dogs (Willy and LuLu), barn cats, chickens, ducks and even quails. She eventually wants to stay in the cattle industry and get her own herd of beef cows. She has her artificial insemination certificate! Growing up she enjoyed fostering baby yaks!! She will be attending Northwood Tech College to obtain her Veterinary Technician degree.
Amy J., Groomer
Amy has two chihuahuas and two cats that she loves spending time with. She lives with her boyfriend in Lake City so you may see her out an about! In her free time she enjoys reading a good book snuggled on the couch with her fur babies. She is our current groomer and the Lake City Location. She is going to school currently to become a Vet Tech as well!
